About Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu Bike Park

Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU Bike Park has several courses of varying difficulty ranging from flow trail courses to skill-up areas. Choose the course that best suits your level and style. Please check the Bike Park Course Guide for more details.

Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU Bike Park has established local rules for your safety and enjoyment. Please be sure to read the “Bike Park Riders Rules” before using the course.

MTB trails are created by a variety of natural and man-made elements, including rocks, tree roots, severe undulations/unevenness of the road surface, mountain slopes, and man-made sections. Please refer to the “MTB Checklist” for more information on MTB maintenance.

If you have difficulty riding on the course due to a flat tire or mechanical problem, please pay attention to the riders following you and move to the nearest slope, and then walk down the slope.

Patrols may enter the course to rescue injured runners. When instructed by the patrol, please follow their instructions and cooperate with their rescue activities. The course may be closed without prior notice for safety reasons due to rescue operations, weather, course conditions, etc.

If you see any damage to the course, course tape or barrier nets while on the course, no matter how large or small, please report it to the patrol.

For safe enjoyment of MTB

Please be aware that MTB is a highly dangerous sport.

There are many hazards in the field. These include hazards due to weather and visibility changes; hazards due to terrain; hazards due to natural formations such as standing trees, tree roots, and rocks; hazards due to man-made structures such as lift posts, nets, and poles; hazards due to contact with other riders, hikers, etc.; and hazards due to personal falls. These are not all examples. Riders are responsible for avoiding hazards at their own discretion and risk.

Helmets must be worn for safety reasons. If you do not wear a helmet, you will not be allowed to use the course. Although we do not specify the type of helmet, full-face helmets are strongly recommended for safety reasons. Protective gear to prevent injury is optional, but gloves, elbows, knees, spine, and cervical vertebrae protectors are strongly recommended.

MTB Checklist

All trails in the Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU Bike Park are off-road trails. Rough surfaces, steep slopes, and steep steps made up of rocks, gravel, tree roots, and other obstacles will impact not only your MTB, but also your body. Always inspect your bike before riding. Also, have your bike serviced by a reputable dealer or maintenance store.

●Always wear a properly adjusted helmet that has not been damaged and is sold for MTB use.
●Please inspect your MTB carefully and look for cracks or damage to the frame.
●Install a brake system with sufficient braking power and use brake pads of sufficient thickness.
●Tighten the axle nuts on the front and rear wheels securely.
●Check the headset and stem for looseness and retighten as necessary.
●Check tires for damage or deterioration and replace as necessary.
●Securely fasten handlebars and grips. Replace the handlebar if it is deformed or worn.
●Securely fasten the seat and seat post.
●Before entering the course, please inspect your MTB carefully for the inspection items listed above. Please inspect your MTBs regularly and enjoy the Bike Park with properly maintained equipment.

If you have any questions about the above inspection items or are concerned about your own bike, please contact the on-site rental store.
